The Federalist Papers
Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., never wastes a sentence.
Wrapping up his appearance on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures" with Larry Kudlow, the Louisiana Republican left viewers with one simple request.
"Go vote. If dead people can do it, so can you."
Kudlow laughed. So did plenty of people watching. But the line lands because it isn't entirely a joke.
This year, states started running their voter rolls through the federal SAVE database. North Carolina alone found roughly 34,000 dead people still registered. Across 25 states, DHS says the checks have turned up about 400,000 deceased registrants.
Four hundred thousand. That's a mid-size city of voters who no longer need a polling place, a parking spot, or a pulse.
To be fair, election officials stress that a dead name on the rolls doesn't prove anyone voted in that name. Fine. But a voter roll is supposed to be a list of eligible voters. If it can't keep up with the obituary page, what else is it missing?
The same checks flagged about 28,000 noncitizens on the rolls. Noncitizens have no business on a federal voter list. Period.
That's the whole point of the SAVE America Act: proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. The House passed it. In the Senate, Democrats lined up against it, and it's stalled, likely until after the election.
Ask yourself why a party would fight this hard against confirming voters are citizens. One theory: they've done the math.
Meanwhile, congressional Democrats have formed a task force to fight what they call potential Trump interference in November.
Convenient. If they win, the system worked. If they lose, it was rigged. Heads they win, tails you cheated.
Welcome to crazy land.
Here's the bottom line. Control of Congress on November 3 won't be decided by the dead, the deleted, or Democrat talking points. It will be decided by whether conservatives care enough to show up.
Socialist candidates are winning Democratic primaries this year, and they aren't hiding it. If you want to stop that agenda, you have to outvote it.
Kennedy said it best. If dead people can make it to the polls, you have no excuse.
Will you be voting on November 3?

The Federalist Papers Want the receipts? Start in Kennedy's own backyard. Louisiana's check turned up more than 15,000 dead people and 419 noncitizens on its rolls. Ohio found nearly 60,000 deceased registrants. Georgia, a state that decides presidential elections, found almost 43,000.... View More
