Random Thought:
The South was always dominated by Democrats. Large groups of Black Americans began to leave it as soon as they had the freedom to do so. Later, as Democrats began to dominate in the North and lose their grip in the South, Black Americans began to remigrate back to the Southern, Republican-dominated South.
Even on a smaller scale, the migration continues. I live in one of the most conservative counties in Georgia. Yard signs for Republican candidates are all over the place. Over the years, I’ve noticed a marked increase in Black people moving into the area.
Again… this is one of the reddest of red counties. When it comes to safe neighborhoods, good schools, nice restaurants, and kid-friendly environments, all that “conservatives are racist!” and “vote blue” bullshit goes out the window. People take their feelings to the polls, but their most honest vote is the one they make with their feet and dollars.
On the other hand, I hear complaints from Black people in Democrat-run Atlanta over the increase in gentrification, mainly perpetrated by white leftists with “BLM” and “Hate Has No Home Here” yard signs. As the city becomes more blue, the socioeconomic environment gets worse.
That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
