EVERYONE READY FOR FUSION BOMBS?
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
Germany is making one of Europe’s biggest pushes toward commercial nuclear fusion, with the goal of turning the reaction that powers the Sun into a practical source of electricity.
One major effort comes from Munich-based Proxima Fusion, a spin-off from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics. It is developing a stellarator—a fusion machine that uses extremely powerful, carefully shaped magnetic fields to confine plasma at temperatures of millions of degrees.
Unlike nuclear fission, which splits heavy atoms, fusion combines light nuclei and releases enormous amounts of energy. The long-term goal is steady electricity generation without burning fossil fuels and without the same long-lived high-level waste produced by conventional fission reactors.
Proxima plans to build its experimental Alpha stellarator near Munich in the early 2030s. Alpha is intended to demonstrate net fusion energy gain, but it will not yet be a commercial power station.
The next machine, called Stellaris, is planned for the former Gundremmingen nuclear power site in Bavaria. Proxima says Stellaris could become the first commercial stellarator to supply fusion-generated electricity to the grid sometime in the 2030s.
Germany’s broader national roadmap is similarly ambitious: it targets a fusion demonstration plant near the end of the 2030s and a first-of-a-kind fusion power plant during the 2040s. More than €2 billion in new public funding is being directed toward fusion research and infrastructure through 2029.
What Germany is attempting is still significant: moving fusion from experimental machines toward actual power stations. If that transition succeeds, fusion could eventually become a major source of reliable, low-carbon energy—but reaching that scale will require many power plants, not one reactor.

I helped my ex get a six-figure contract as the lead engineer on a cold fusion reactor startup in Berkeley.

They and I mean all the "they's, will never let this happen. The reason is. That would benefit everyone, and they don't want that. Jesus Christ, is the only way.
