Some goals take a lifetime to reach.
38.9 miles. Four days. One mountain that never lets go until you have gone all the way around.
I hiked the full Loowit Trail around Mount St. Helens living with Multiple Sclerosis. A body that once fought me at every step carried me the whole circle this time.
But this hike was never really about the distance.
It was about my Dad. The one who first pointed me toward this trail at our kitchen table years ago. The one I promised I would carry all the way around the mountain he loved. 🏔️
This is a story about resilience when your body is failing. About faith that holds you in the quiet, painful, and peaceful seasons alike. About a son finishing what he and his father started together.
I never really did it alone.
