Marvin #Heemeyer was an American muffler shop owner from Granby, Colorado, best known for the 2004 “Killdozer” incident. Frustrated by long-running zoning disputes and perceived unfair treatment by local officials over a concrete plant near his business, the 52-year-old welder and Air Force veteran spent about 18 months secretly modifying a #Komatsu D355A bulldozer. He added thick layers of steel and concrete armor, cameras, and gun ports, turning it into a nearly impregnable vehicle. On June 4, 2004, he sealed himself inside and drove the machine through town for roughly two hours, demolishing or heavily damaging 13 buildings—including the town hall, a newspaper office, the former mayor’s house, a bank, and a hardware store—while causing millions in damage. No one else was killed; Heemeyer died by suicide with a handgun after the bulldozer became stuck.
