Architecture Hubfirst 30-foot (9.1 m) border wall panels are being installed in Texas’ Big Bend region.Installation began on September 15, 2026, along the 47-mile Big Bend 1 project in Hudspeth County. The project is one of five border infrastructure projects planned across the approximately 500-mile Big Bend region.The wider $46 billion border infrastructure program includes new and replacement barriers, patrol roads, vehicle barriers and surveillance technology.
