Pleasant Productions NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch called for moral clarity ahead of the 25th anniversary of 9/11 while unveiling a new memorial wall at One Police Plaza. Tisch said the men who attacked New York were terrorists, while the men and women who entered the towers to save innocent lives were heroes. She warned that 25 years must not be allowed to blur that distinction. Her direct language stands in sharp contrast with Ilhan Omar’s controversial 2019 description of 9/11 as some people did something.
