New York families begged Mayor Zohran Mamdani to stay off the Ground Zero plaza, and he showed up anyway with AOC laughing through the name reading. ⠀ A petition from 9/11 relatives, signed by more than 100,000 people, asked him not to attend Friday's 25th-anniversary ceremony. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Gov. George Pataki said the same thing. ⠀ They cited Mamdani's record with people who treated the attacks as something America had coming. That includes commentator Hasan Piker, who said "America deserved 9/11," a line Mamdani later called "objectionable and reprehensible" without cutting the association. ⠀ The clip from Real America's Voice shows Rep.
