Architecture HubThe White House’s 1830 North Portico has emerged from months of restoration.Built during Andrew Jackson’s presidency, the historic entrance has undergone repairs to its aging stonework and plaster, along with security and door upgrades. The protective covering and scaffolding were removed in early September, revealing the restored façade once again.The North Portico was completed in 1830 and remains one of the White House’s most recognizable architectural features.
