A horse saved her farmer’s life after he went searching for her alone in the fields at night. Peter, a local farmer, had finished bringing his animals into the barn when he realized one was missing, his horse, Marabel. She had never wandered far before, so Peter waited, thinking she would eventually return. Hours passed. When Marabel still hadn’t come back, Peter grabbed a flashlight and went searching through the fields himself. That’s when he suddenly suffered a heart attack and collapsed. Peter lived alone, and there was nobody nearby to hear him call for help. But Marabel found him. She stayed beside him before grabbing onto his clothing and pulling him toward a neighboring property, where she began neighing repeatedly near the porch until someone came outside. The neighbors immediately called an ambulance. Peter survived, and doctors later warned him that he needed to take his health more seriously. They also told him that much more time without help could have changed everything. Peter went into the field hoping to bring Marabel home, instead, Marabel was the one who brought him back.
