**WHO IS PULLING THE STRINGS?** “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work…” — 2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV Politicians may change, parties may exchange power, and new voices may appear before the cameras—but the spiritual forces working through this fallen world remain. Scripture says: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” — 1 Corinthians 2:12 The world wants to tell us what to believe, what to tolerate, what to fear, and whom to trust. Its message is repeated through politicians, news organizations, entertainment, social media, and countless other voices. But repetition does not make a lie true. A Christian must not blindly accept a message merely because it comes from a favored politician, political party, preacher, or news source. Our final authority is not Washington, a television network, or public opinion. **Our final authority is the Word of God.** The Holy Ghost gives believers spiritual discernment, but we must still open our Bibles, examine what we hear, and refuse to let anger or party loyalty do our thinking for us. Scripture warns: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…” — 1 John 4:1 KJV We should oppose deception, expose darkness, and speak the truth—but we must not allow righteous concern to become uncontrolled wrath. “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” — James 1:20 The real question is not merely, **“Who is speaking?”** The deeper question is: “Who is influencing the message—and does it agree with God’s Word?”** Do not become a mouthpiece for the spirit of this world. Do not let politicians, parties, or media personalities pull the strings of your convictions. Who has your ear—the Spirit of God speaking through His Word, or the voices of a world that lieth in wickedness? Be smart, America—but above all, be biblical.
