"I WILL EXALT MY THRONE" Isaiah 14:12-15Just a brief outline this week. Satan seeks to exalt his throne in all walks of life, and he succeeds when we are ignorant of his devices (II Cor. 2:11) and give place to the devil (Eph. 4:27). Either we are constantly pushing back the frontiers of his evil darkness or we are allowing him to exalt his thrown. Here are five common ways in which his throne is exalted . . .I. THROUGH VAINGLORY - Anyone other than God receiving the glory (Plp. 2:3; Isa. 42:8)II. THROUGH CONTROL - Overly-ambitious people and control freaks who have to run everything (Mat. 20:25-28)III. THROUGH CONFUSION - If it doesn't make sense, there's a devil in it (I Cor. 14:33)IV. THROUGH LIES - All misinformation is an enemy of truth and an enemy of God, whether intentional or accidental, and Satan is the father of it (John 8:44)V. THROUGH INJUSTICE - God delights in justice and is grieved that so few ever call for justice (Isa. 59:4, 14, 16).There are many more, but these are five common ways in which we can see Lucifer exalting his thrown on a daily basis. God help us to be Spirit-filled believers armed with the light of God's word that we might turn on God's light continually and dispel the devil's darkness where he seeks to exalt his throne.
