Today's Comfort... Tomorrow's Judgment Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” One of Satan's greatest deceptions is convincing people that because life is comfortable today, there is no reason to think about tomorrow. A warm bed, good health, financial security, entertainment, and busy schedules can lull a soul into believing everything is well. But comfort is not the same as peace with God.The rich man in Luke 16 enjoyed the comforts of this life. He had everything he wanted—until the day he died. In one moment, earthly comfort gave way to eternal torment. Nothing he possessed could change what came after death. Many live as though tomorrow will never come. They postpone repentance, ignore God's Word, and assume there will always be another opportunity. Yet God reminds us that after death comes judgment—not another chance.Don't let today's comforts blind you to tomorrow's reality. One day every bed will be left behind, every earthly possession will be abandoned, and every soul will stand before God. The only comfort that will matter then is knowing Jesus Christ as your Saviour.Today is the day to seek Him. Tomorrow may be too late. "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near." — Isaiah 55:6 (KJV)
