[Regarding keeping the water clear in the holding tank from the last post.] As I was thinking about the water tank device to create copper (or silver) ions, it hit me that spinning something copper in the water would be less efficient than just anodizing two electrodes from solar electricity. I didn't want to copper-plate a silver coin nor vice versa so I went with something easy enough and on hand: compression lugs. I used a recycled wine bottle cork as a float, two copper compression lugs crimped onto the wire and tie-wrapping an insulating spacer between the terminals. The wire comes directly from a cheap Renogy 50W solar panel. I did some research about the power requirements and pretested everything in a test beaker with alligator clips and it was bubbling nicely. The sun at 10AM seems to be now powering the device and putting some copper ions into the drinking water supply.
