**“I NEED CHRIST—BUT I DON’T NEED CHURCH”** And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee…”— 1 Corinthians 12:21 (KJV) “I don’t need church” may sound independent, but it exposes something deeper. Christ said, *“I will build my church”* (Matthew 16:18). He purchased it *“with his own blood”* (Acts 20:28), Scripture calls it *“his body”* (Ephesians 1:22–23). Therefore, when you continually reject Christ’s church, you are rejecting something Christ established, purchased, loves, and commands you to assemble with. You cannot honestly say, **“I need the Head, but I have no need of His body.”** That is the very spirit condemned in 1 Corinthians 12:21: *“I have no need of thee.”* Church attendance does not save anyone—Jesus Christ saves. Nor is this aimed at the sick, homebound, persecuted, or providentially hindered. But when a person is able to assemble and proudly declares, **“I don’t need church,”** the real issue is not scheduling. It is submission. You may not be saying, **“I don’t need Christ,”** with your lips—but you are refusing His authority, His command, and His provision with your life. *“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is…”* — Hebrews 10:25 (KJV) If Christ established His church, who are you to declare it unnecessary?
