One of the FBI’s most wanted suspects in a massive pandemic relief fraud scheme has been arrested in Jamaica and returned to the United States.
The suspect is accused of being part of a scheme that allegedly stole $32 million in taxpayer-funded COVID relief funds using fake identities and fraudulent applications.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrest, noting it is the fourth “Most Wanted Fraudster” captured in the past five weeks.
He stated: “Under this administration, fraud is no longer tolerated, and those who steal from American taxpayers have nowhere to hide.”
