It’s a claim that gets repeated every time persistent contrails spread into a thin veil of cloud… 🙄🤭But as the majority of us here in reality know… When an aircraft flies through very cold, ice supersaturated air, the water vapour from the engines freezes into tiny ice crystals. If the surrounding air is humid enough at cruising altitude, those ice crystals don’t disappear. They spread out and can gradually become a thin cirrus cloud layer.. this has been known and understood for DECADES. That cirrus can slightly reduce the amount of direct sunlight reaching the ground. That’s real, measurable atmospheric physics.. and a well known phenomenon which has been studied and researched for years. What it isn’t is evidence that aircraft are deliberately “spraying chemicals” or “blocking the sun” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The effect comes from ice crystals, not a secret substance. It’s the same reason naturally occurring cirrus clouds can make the sunshine look hazy while still letting plenty of light through.‼️Imagine becoming so brainwashed by a conspiracy theory that you choose to abuse qualified, experienced people instead of questioning the social media fantasy you’ve convinced yourself is true. That’s how powerful misinformation can be‼️People often see the dimmer sunlight and assume the intention was to block it. That’s the leap. Observing an effect doesn’t tell you the cause or the intent. Gravity makes apples fall, but nobody thinks the tree declared war on the fruit ffs 🙄🤣Contrails can influence cloud cover under the right atmospheric conditions.
