WHEN TRUTH OFFENDS
“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” — Psalm 119:165 (KJV)
We live in a generation that is easily offended.
A correction feels like an attack. A disagreement becomes an insult. Even the truth of God’s Word is rejected when it exposes sin or challenges personal feelings.
But Scripture gives us the remedy: love God’s Word.
When we truly love His Word, we stop demanding that truth agree with us. Instead, we allow the Bible to correct our thinking, examine our hearts, and change our ways. God’s truth is not meant to protect our feelings—it is meant to guide our lives.
This does not mean that words and actions can never hurt us.
It means that we do not have to stumble, become bitter, or lose our peace because of them. The more firmly our hearts are anchored in Scripture, the less easily we are offended.
Do you want greater peace?
Love His Word, receive His correction, and let truth rule over your feelings.
