You can’t be a good American if you are not a good (legal) citizen, you can’t be a good citizen if you don’t register and vote and you damn well should never vote unless you educate yourself with the truth about ALL the issues that affect every American citizen! In this political election contests, there are many negative commercials aimed at opponents, some by the candidates and some by political action committees, all of which are emotional personal attacks on the opponent and very seldom mention anything at all about issues. These smear tactics suppose their impropriety, imply guilt by association, exaggerate their foibles, attack their personality, assault their physical characteristics, accuse them of deception, harass their family, assail their ethics and question their background. All of this is an effort to get a negative emotional reaction from the voters. Unfortunately, most voters use their emotions to make political decisions and tend to believe what they want to believe in spite of the truth. This is the primary reason that this country is in the sad state of affairs it is in now. Politicians have learned how to play on the voters’ emotions and as a result we have the most corrupt political establishment we have ever seen. If you support a candidate and cannot intelligently describe in detail their stance on all the issues, THEN DON’T YOU DARE VOTE!
