Ultimately at some point, we all have to decide whether we’re going to believe evidence… or internet myths.
For some reason, there are still people convinced that ordinary aircraft contrails are actually secret chemical spraying operations, despite decades of atmospheric science, aviation engineering, meteorology, satellite observations, and thousands of pilots, engineers and researchers all explaining exactly what they are.
The funny thing is that we can all see the white lines in the sky… The difference is that some of us understand why they’re there.
Persistent contrails form when hot, water rich engine exhaust enters extremely cold, ice supersaturated air at cruising altitude. That’s established physics, not a secret operation.
The internet has made it incredibly easy for misinformation to spread. Unfortunately, once someone has invested years into a belief, admitting they were mistaken becomes harder than simply repeating it.
Science doesn’t ask you to believe. It asks you to look at the evidence. Conspiracy theories ask you to ignore it.
