The World Serves Slop—God Serves LifeEvery day the world offers a menu. It feeds the eyes with lust, violence, greed, pride, and endless distractions. At first it may seem satisfying, but it leaves the soul empty, the conscience dull, and the heart farther from God. Satan knows that if he can control what continually enters your mind, he can weaken your walk with Christ. The world's table is nothing more than spiritual slop—it fills the stomach of the flesh while starving the soul.God offers something altogether different. Jesus said, "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst" (John 4:14, KJV). He also declared, "I am the bread of life" (John 6:35, KJV). God's Word is sweeter than "honey and the honeycomb" (Psalm 19:10, KJV), bringing joy, wisdom, and strength to those who meditate upon it. Instead of feeding your mind with corruption, God invites you to feast upon truth that satisfies forever.Yet God does not intend for His children to remain spiritual infants. Just as a child grows from milk to solid food, believers are called to mature in the faith. "Strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age" (Hebrews 5:14, KJV). As you faithfully read, study, and obey the Scriptures, the Lord nourishes you with the deeper doctrines of His Word, strengthening your faith for the battles of life.The question is simple: Which table are you eating from? The world's diet always leaves you hungry for more, but God's table satisfies the soul. Guard your eyes, feed your heart with His Word, and let the Bread of Life, the Living Water, the sweetness of God's truth, and the strong meat of sound doctrine make you spiritually healthy. "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes..." — Psalm 101:3
