I know they are technically a "cover band" but the combined US Military Band performing during what is THE most exhaustingly long fireworks show in American History (30 min log and still going at 12:38pmEST) might be the BEST and tightest cover band in America. If you are a talented young musician coming out of high school and want to have one of the best career paths our country has to offer and STILL get the chance to perform with a great band... AND get paid BETTER than any other cover band in any town... join the military. Best benefits, almost instant gold check on your resume... Not sure of their names but at least one I could make out his name tag: MSG Christopher Rettig, a Master Sergeant and featured tenor vocalist with the premier U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own". These folks can SING and the band is spectacular. A better entertainment and less politics than "name" artists that half the country hates and half love. I just wish the TV producers would have sent the direct audio feed instead of them being drown out by fireworks... Happy birthday America.
