Each of us needs to ask: who or what is the god of our culture and nation?We know the Lord is King, the Redeemer of the lost and the ruler of all nations. Yet He is not always honored as God in the places we live. While He is Lord over all, our hearts and our societies often reflect something very different.So we begin with ourselves. We repent for not placing Him first in our own lives, and we pray for His work to move through our communities and our nation.God has promised to respond when His people humble themselves and seek Him (2 Chronicles 7:14). So let’s do just that. Let’s come to Him in prayer, invite others to know Him, and point people to Jesus—the One who reigns as the ruler of the kings of the earth (Revelation 1:5).
