**Luke 10:41-42 (KJV)**"And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."*
Most Christians are not too busy to check their phones. We are not too busy to answer text messages, scroll social media, watch videos, read the news, or keep up with sports and entertainment. Yet somehow, we often convince ourselves that we are too busy to spend time in God's Word.
Satan understands the power of Scripture. He knows that a believer who reads the Bible will grow in wisdom, discernment, and spiritual strength. That is why he doesn't always tempt us with obvious sin. More often, he fills our schedules with distractions. The goal is simple: keep the Bible closed.
Martha loved the Lord, but she became so occupied with many good things that she neglected the **best** thing—sitting at Jesus' feet.
Many believers make the same mistake today. Our calendars are full, our phones never stop buzzing, and our minds are constantly occupied. We are busy with life, but starving spiritually.
God never intended His Word to fit into the leftovers of our day. It is to be our daily bread. Before you open your social media, open your Bible. Before the world fills your mind with its opinions, let God fill your heart with His truth.
The busiest person is not the one with the fullest schedule, but the one who has forgotten what is truly **"needful."**
Make time for God's Word today, and you will discover that the time spent with Him is never wasted.
