UNNECESSARY HARDSHIPSIt is so frustrating to see people going through unnecessary hardships that they often blame on others when, in reality, much of the blame lies at their own feet for not making stronger decisions years ago. If the foundation is sand (Mat. 7:26-27) and the walls are built with untempered mortar (Ezk. 13:10-11), then the whole structure will fall in due time. You don't just need a spouse; you need a strong and spiritual spouse. You don't just need a Bible; you need the RIGHT Bible, and you need to know it cover to cover. You don't just need to attend church; you need to be ACTIVELY INVOLVED in a strong, independent, Bible-believing, Baptist church. You don't just need to say prayers; you need to commune with God regularly and have a strong relationship with Him. Far too many people destroy their own lives with cheap building materials and then act clueless and innocent when things begin to crumble. "But we went to church and raised our kids right," they'll cry, when, in reality, they never attended the RIGHT church a day in their lives and they bent over backwards to teach their kids how to conform to the world and fit in with all the other kids. It's truly sad that only in the day of judgment will they fully see the error of their ways.
