THAT STRANGE 13
I used to know that). With 13 being the number of rebellion in the Bible, the thirteenth verse of the Bible (Gen. 1:13) is the first verse that doesn't mention God. Then in the New Testament, the word "thirteen" is the first number word that does not appear. The words "one" through "twelve" all appear numerous times, as does "fourteen" through "sixteen," but the word "thirteen" is the first one missing. Of course, its first mention in the Bible is in connection with REBELLION in Genesis 14:4: IN THE THIRTEENTH YEAR THEY REBELLED. So, par for the course, the Antichrist appears in Revelation 13, and there are thirteen words on the whore's forehead in Revelation 17:5.
Although this isn't a fundamental of the faith, Bible numerics is an interesting study, and there's much more that the Book reveals about the number thirteen, but that's another post.
