Daniel 12:4 (KJV)"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."When reading biblical prophecy, we must remember that the prophets did not have the language we have today.An angel could not tell Daniel there would be airplanes, automobiles, computers, the internet, smartphones, or artificial intelligence. Those words did not exist. Daniel could only describe what he was shown using the language of his time.So what did he write?"Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."Today, humanity travels across the world at incredible speeds, and knowledge is expanding faster than at any other time in history.The same principle may apply to Revelation 13.John was looking nearly 2,000 years into the future. He described men creating an image and then giving life to it so that it could speak."And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak..." (Revelation 13:15)John did not know words like "robot," "computer," or "artificial intelligence." To him, what he saw may have appeared to be a statue brought to life.What is even more fascinating is that this speaking image is connected to the command for mankind to receive the mark of the beast.Are we witnessing the technological foundations of things foretold long ago?No one knows the exact day or hour, but the signs Jesus told us to watch for seem more relevant with each passing year.Stay awake.Stay discerning.Stay in God's Word.✝️ "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." — Matthew 24:42
