Words matter.The way something is labeled often determines how people feel about it before they ever investigate it.Calling a mass-surveillance infrastructure a "data center" sounds harmless.Calling a social credit system "digital convenience" sounds harmless.Calling censorship "safety" sounds harmless.Calling propaganda "fact-checking" sounds harmless.History is full of examples where language was used to soften public perception of things that deserved much greater scrutiny.That's why this image caught my attention.Whether you agree with the quote or not, the larger point is about language and perception.When people hear the word "therapy," they think healing.When people hear "data center," they think storage.When people hear "smart technology," they think convenience.But what if the label doesn't tell the whole story?What if the public is being encouraged to focus on the packaging instead of asking deeper questions about the system itself?Today, some of the largest facilities ever built are being called data centers.But these facilities aren't just storing information.They're processing information.Analyzing information.Training artificial intelligence.Building behavioral models.Creating unprecedented concentrations of digital power.The question isn't what they're called.The question is what they are being built to do.Because history teaches us that people rarely lose freedoms all at once.They lose them one harmless-sounding label at a time.The solution isn't fear.The solution is discernment.Ask questions.Look beyond the marketing.Look beyond the branding.Look beyond the labels.Because sometimes the most important truth is hidden behind the most innocent-sounding name.
