The Great White Throne JudgmentMost people spend their lives chasing things that will not matter five minutes after they die. Money. Possessions. Popularity. Entertainment. Careers. Pleasure.Yet many neglect the one thing that will matter for all eternity—the salvation of their soul. The Bible declares: "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." (Romans 14:12)For the saved, there is the Judgment Seat of Christ where believers give account of their service. But for the lost, there is a far more fearful appointment—the Great White Throne Judgment. Revelation 20:12 says: "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened…”. At that judgment, no amount of wealth will help. No earthly accomplishments will matter. Excuses will be silenced. Every person will stand before a holy God and give account.How tragic that so many spend their lives preparing for retirement, preparing for careers, preparing for vacations, and preparing for everything except eternity.The devil is content to let a man have success, comfort, and pleasure if he can keep him from Christ.Friend, the most important question is not how much you own, how popular you are, or how successful you become. The question is: Have you been saved?Jesus Christ died for sinners, was buried, and rose again the third day. Salvation is not found in religion, good works, or self-improvement. Salvation is found in Christ alone.Do not spend your life chasing what will burn and neglecting what will last forever. One day every knee shall bow. One day every tongue shall confess. One day every person shall stand before God.When that day comes, you will realize what really mattered."How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..." (Hebrews 2:3)
