In the "not a great look for the home team" department, a 31-year-old Arizona man was arrested in 2018 for a scheme that is as weird as it is messy. Paul Menchaca reportedly posed as a woman online to hire caregivers to bathe him and change his diapers.
The caregivers believed Menchaca had Down syndrome because he would "talk like a child" and "act like a child." One caregiver reported visiting his home 30 times over the summer to handle his hygiene, and noted that he would become sexually aroused during the process.
The "mortifying" gig finally collapsed when Menchaca allegedly stopped paying for the $160-a-day service. This prompted the caregivers to reach out to his parents, only to find out he had zero special needs and hadn't actually needed a diaper since he was a kid.
Before his trip to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Menchaca was working as a crossing guard for a local school district. It is safe to say his days of being cared for by unsuspecting strangers are officially over.

Of course, they never talked to the parents before continuing because somebody with Down's can be trusted to pay on time.
