My 2010 top of the line Toshiba Qosmio laptop came with a 45G available space SSDrive. Seemed huge 16 years ago. WINDOWS 7, 8 and now 10 has now consumed the entire space, all data and 3rd party apps kept on my 500G D: drive; (I was down to 1.3G on C:). I was astounded to find there are still 500G SSD's available direct from Chy-na, used but 100% verified for only $40.00! Much larger new ones for $100.00+. 500G is 10Γ— the space I had and it lasted me 16 years. I can survive a bit longer on 500G. I updated the RAM to 6g's of DDR4 in 2016 when I replaced the main board and although it's not a lot, it still runs plenty fast.
These days the unit is below average, but with its 4 bus processor it fully meets my needs. I'll be doing some animation and reels and such and I may find I'm mistaken, but between now and a new $4000.00+ unit, my new cloning ($24.00 cloning app and $6.00 cloning enclosure) referb for under $75.00 (with shipping) has me plenty happy. 😁😁
