The lack of any home media(VHS, DVD, Blu-ray) or streaming availability of Song Of The South has been lamented to heck and back and is of course the total opposite of fortunate for this film, but as agonizing the situation this infamous film that has just as infamously long been hidden away from the public(especially in North America)is in, I should confess that along with this film making itself clearer about the post-Civil War period it takes place in, at least 19 more minutes of animation between Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear would've elevated this film even further since fans of this film like that aspect of that film the most. And I doubt that it would've cost Disney that much during the era of the wartime-period package feature(the extended animation would mean a total of 44 minutes of animation in this film. A digit above 10 more minutes than The Legend Of Sleepy Hallow segment of The Adventures Of Ichabod And Mr Toad, but still I wouldn't call it a costly undertaking, nor would it actually have been one).
