Not only had slavery been standard practice since ancient times, it had nothing to do with race for centuries. Slaves were usually the losers in warfare around the world.The ill-kept secret was that African tribes began the slavery process there by capturing African slaves. The irony is that when Pelosi and Schumer "took a knee" in the Capitol Dome after the death of His Holiness, St. George Floyd, blessed be his name, they were wearing Kente Cloth scarves. Kente Cloth was developed by the Ashantis, the greatest movers and shakers in the African slave trade.African slaves who were sent to Arab countries drew the short straw. Males were neutered when they arrived there.There is no defending slavery. It was horrible. Yet, after all their ancestors went through, their descendants today could be said to have "won the lottery." Had their ancestors not been taken as slaves, they would be living in countries beset by civil war and daily atrocities, poor schools, poor roads, poor essential daily amenities, poor standards of living, and government graft and corruption on a mega-scale--and slavery would also exist in their population, depending on which country they lived in.
