2 Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…”
There was a time when counterfeit Christianity tried to stay close enough to biblical truth that it could not easily be recognized. It still used Bible words, preached repentance occasionally, respected holiness outwardly, and feared being exposed as false.
But today, much of modern religion no longer even resembles the faith once delivered unto the saints. What God calls sin, it celebrates. What God condemns, it excuses.
What God commands, it mocks. Churches that once preached against the world now imitate the world in music, appearance, philosophy, entertainment, and lifestyle.
The counterfeit has become so bold because people have lived in deception for so long that darkness now feels normal to them.
Truth does not change because culture changes.
The old paths are still right.
Holiness is still right.
Separation from sin is still right.
Preaching the whole counsel of God is still right.
A gospel that never convicts, a Christianity without repentance, and a church that fears offending sinners more than offending God is not New Testament Christianity.
The danger today is not merely atheism or false religion—it is a counterfeit faith wearing the name “Christian” while opposing the very truth of God.
The closer this world moves toward judgment, the more important it becomes for real believers to stand without apology, discern truth from error, and refuse to trade Scripture for popularity.
