Life is short, but eternity is not.
Yet most people prepare more for retirement, vacations, careers, and entertainment than they do for standing before God. The Bible never teaches men to drift carelessly through life.
Scripture teaches preparation, readiness, and accountability.
“Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead” — 1 Peter 4:5 (KJV).
One day every man will answer to God, whether saved or lost, rich or poor, religious or rebellious.
Preparation means action.
A man preparing for a storm gathers supplies.
A soldier preparing for battle trains himself.
A farmer preparing for harvest plants seed.
In the same way, a man preparing for eternity seeks God, repents of sin, believes the Gospel, reads the Bible, prays, walks in truth, and lives with eternity in view.
This generation says, “Enjoy life,” while ignoring judgment, death, and eternity.
But wisdom prepares before it is too late. Death is not the end — it is the doorway into eternal accountability before Almighty God.
