👉 Someone reading this today…is carrying disappointment from last week.Maybe something didn’t go the way you hoped.A prayer.A relationship.A job.A dream.A financial burden.A frightening report.A painful goodbye. And perhaps this Monday morning…you feel emotionally exhausted before the new week has even begun. But hear this today:✨ THIS IS NOT THE END OF YOUR STORY. ✨⸻Yesterday…I preached the funeral of my very best friend. And because Ron knew Jesus Christ as his Saviour…👉 yesterday was not the end of his story either. In fact…during the service…a dear pastor friend and his family sang these beautiful words:🎶 “The best is yet to come.” 🎶And for Ron…that is now gloriously true.Because for the child of God…death is not the end.👉 Heaven is the continuation of the story God has been writing all along.⸻My theme verse at the funeral was:📖 “We spend our years as a tale that is told.”— Psalm 90:9 (KJV)Yesterday…we told Ron’s story. The laughter. The faith. The memories. The kindness. The love. But what I want to remind YOU of today is this:👉 what happened LAST WEEK…is not the end of YOUR story. Not your failure. Not your heartbreak. Not your disappointment. Not your anxiety. Not your regret. Not your bad day at work. Not your setback. Not your sorrow.👉 You are still here. You still have this Monday. This week. This moment. And God is still writing chapters you cannot yet see.⸻👉 So many people in the Bible thought their story was over…until God turned the page.📖 Ruth buried her husband and walked into an uncertain future…but that was not the end of her story.📖 Peter began sinking beneath the waves after stepping out in faith…but that was not the end of his story.📖 Rahab carried the reputation of her past failures…but that was not the end of her story.📖 John Mark once walked away discouraged…but later Paul wrote:📖 “Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.”— II Timothy 4:11Because God was not finished with him yet.⸻And maybe someone reading this today needs to hear that clearly:👉 God is not finished with YOU yet either.Perhaps you need a new beginning.A renewed dream.A restored faith.A repaired relationship.A healthier direction.A different career path.A fresh purpose. That does not mean your story is over.👉 It means another chapter may just be beginning.⸻Even Thomas Edison failed repeatedly before many of his inventions finally succeeded. But he kept going.Because perseverance writes chapters quitting never will. And spiritually…the same is true for us.📖 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,”— Philippians 3:13⸻What happened yesterday…what happened last week…what happened years ago…does not have to define the rest of your life.Because through God’s grace…new chapters can still be written.👉 New hope can still arise.👉 New joy can still come.👉 New purpose can still be found.📖 “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”— Revelation 21:5 (KJV)God still makes all things new.And by following His Word, the Spirit’s leading, and the purpose God has placed within your heart…you can begin writing a brand new chapter today.Because…✨ THIS IS NOT THE END OF YOUR STORY. ✨⸻If this devotion encouraged your heart today…please share it with someone who may need hope for a new chapter in life. And if you enjoy messages of faith, encouragement, hope, and the love of God…please follow Devotions From the Heart. This page exists for moments like this.
