pure986life537@gmail.comMany today say, “I AM the church, so I don’t need church.” That sounds spiritual, but it ignores Bible truth. Yes, the church is people — redeemed believers saved by the blood of Christ — but the same Bible that calls believers the body of Christ also commands those believers to assemble together. God never intended Christians to live isolated, disconnected, and independent from a local church. A believer without a local church is spiritually vulnerable, just like a soldier without an army or a child without a family. The local church is where believers are taught, corrected, strengthened, prayed for, and held accountable. It is where pastors feed the flock, saints fellowship together, missionaries are sent, and the Gospel is preached. Hebrews 10:25 (KJV) says, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another...” The modern attitude says, “I can stay home and worship God alone,” but that thinking usually leads to spiritual weakness, coldness, compromise, and eventually worldliness. God never separated being the church from being in a church. They work together. A healthy Christian life is not built on isolation, convenience, or internet sermons — it is built around obedience to God, faithfulness to His Word, and commitment to a sound local church.
