“They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him...” — Titus 1:16 (KJV)We are living in a generation full of profession but empty of possession. Many know the language of Christianity, attend church, quote verses, wear the title “Christian,” and speak about Jesus openly—but their life never changes because they were never truly born again. Religion can clean the outside while the heart remains untouched. A man can carry a Bible and still love sin. He can sing hymns and still reject holiness. He can profess Christ with his lips while denying Him with his life. It is far easier to appear religious than to actually be righteous.Jesus never called men merely to admire Him, but to follow Him. True salvation changes a man from the inside out. The Holy Ghost convicts, corrects, and transforms. Today many want the comfort of religion without repentance, the name of Christ without the cross, and heaven without holiness. But fruit never lies. A changed life does not save a man—but it reveals that Christ truly lives within him. The danger is not the atheist who openly rejects God, but the religious man who believes his profession is enough while his heart remains far from God.
