///@presidentialreviews: MINNEAPOLIS, MN — In a stunning display of moral clarity and zero accountability, Rep. Ilhan Omar hosted a fiery youth town hall this week where she bravely declared the $250 million-plus Feeding Our Future fraud scandal “racist and imaginary” — insisting the feds are just wasting resources chasing a ghost while real children somewhere, somehow, definitely got fed.
“These investigations are straight-up racism!” Omar thundered to a room full of nodding constituents, according to eyewitnesses who have not yet been doxxed. “The Somali community in my district didn’t steal hundreds of millions in COVID meal money meant for kids. That’s a figment of your bigoted imagination! The feds should be out here hunting actual threats, like mean tweets and border enforcement.”
The scandal — which saw dozens of Somali-American nonprofits in Omar’s backyard bilk taxpayers out of a quarter-billion dollars by claiming to serve phantom meals at fake sites — has been a real headache for the congresswoman. Never mind that her office once promoted some of the very “meal sites” now under investigation, or that she co-sponsored the MEALS Act, which conveniently loosened oversight right before the grift exploded. Details!
TDS News senior White House correspondent Tess Tickles was on the scene and fully supportive. “It’s heartbreaking to watch these MAGA witch hunters harass a brave Somali refugee just for importing a little third-world entrepreneurship to Minnesota,” Tickles sniffled. “Who cares if billions in taxpayer dollars vanished into luxury cars and overseas accounts? The real crime is noticing patterns. This ghost-chasing must stop — preferably before another dime of our money goes to actual American kids.”
At press time, Omar was reportedly drafting legislation to grant the ghost full asylum, voting rights, and reparations for the trauma of being investigated.
