The Only Way I Know To LiveGalatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” I am tired of this old world! For me it has lost all its luster. I live in it, but as a believer in Jesus Christ it is not me that lives but by faith I know that Jesus Christ lives in me. He is the One who loves me and it was He that gave His life for me. I know of no other way to live than to live for Jesus Christ! Life for me consists of simple faith, of the pilgrim character (Hebrews 11:13-16), telling others that true love and hope in this present world is found in Jesus Christ. Why do so many feel that they have to have certain things in order to be happy? Think of all the plans people make. Are those plans in light of the truth that one day Jesus will come again? All of us have only one life to live, why don’t we live it for Jesus Christ. There is a convicting line in a hymn that is mostly sung during the time of a church service we call the invitation. Every time I sing it I feel great conviction from the Holy Spirit. The song is titled “Coming Home” written by William J. Kirkpatrick in 1892. That convicting line is found in the second stanza and is, “I’ve wasted many precious years…” Have you wasted any years? What does the Christian life mean to you?
