Jesus is King And LORD!Revelation 19:16 “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” My title is not a political statement but just an accurate statement of declaration based on what the Bible says. The verse in Revelation states what John saw in his vision of the return of Jesus Christ. I am so looking forward to this day! Jesus will return riding on a white horse (Revelation 19:11). He is called Faithful and True (v. 11) and The Word of God (v. 13). This same Jesus whom the world crucified will reign as KING and LORD. 1 Timothy 6:15 tells us that at His appearing Jesus Christ “shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords”! A world without any authority or government is anarchy. Most people agree that the ideal form of government is democracy. But there is coming a day that the ruling government will be theocracy or God ruled. Revelation 11:15 says, “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” In reality for the Christian, theocracy should already exist within the individual heart. Does God govern your life? Maybe Christians should start a movement stating “I have a KING”! And let all the world know that KING is also LORD and His name is Jesus Christ!
