Here’s the problem plain and simple—many who claim Christ still live like spiritual infants.
1 Corinthians 3:1 doesn’t flatter them; it rebukes them as “babes in Christ.”
How do you know? Look at the traits.
They whine when things don’t go their way.
They cry over correction instead of receiving it.
They complain about preaching, leadership, & circumstances.
They pout when they’re not noticed or praised.
And they get pulled into childish fights over opinions, personalities, and petty offenses. That’s not maturity—that’s carnality wearing church clothes.
A baby demands comfort; a carnal Christian does the same when truth presses on their flesh.
God didn’t save you to stay that way. He saved you to grow up. Stop excusing those traits and start crucifying them.
Take correction without tears.
Endure without complaint.
Refuse to pout when things don’t revolve around you.
Walk away from childish fights and stand on truth.
The same preaching falls on every ear—but not every heart responds the same.
If the Word constantly irritates you instead of changing you, the issue isn’t the message—it’s your maturity.
Grow up in Christ.
