Choosing And EsteemingHebrews 11:24-26“By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.”Moses came to years and it was time for him to make his own choices for his life. For a while we all had our parents and others making choices for ourselves but there comes a time when we “come to years”. Moses’s choice was based on Christ, he “esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt”. The word “esteeming” means to lead. Someone other than himself was leading Moses’s heart. It was Christ. What kind of choices have you made since you “come to years”?Who or what leads you in your decisions? No one can make you trust Christ. How does Christ influence your choices in life?
