“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet…” Isaiah 58:1 Silence may feel safe, but it is not righteous when truth is at stake. When people are clearly deceived—believing lies, trusting false hope, or walking toward destruction—keeping quiet is not love, it is neglect. God never called His people to blend in and stay comfortable; He called them to speak. Truth has always offended those who reject it, but it also rescues those who will hear it. If a man sees danger and says nothing, he shares in the damage that follows. The Gospel is not meant to be hidden—it is meant to be declared. The hard truth is this: many are deceived because too many who know the truth refuse to open their mouths. 1 Tim 5:20 - “Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear” That’s not cruelty—that’s clarity. Souls are at stake. Eternity is real. If we truly love people, we will risk their offense to give them the truth that can save them. Silence protects feelings for a moment, but truth protects souls forever. Speak up. Stand firm. Tell the truth—because someone’s eternity may depend on it.
