Don’t Get Out Of Place Proverbs 27:8 “As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.” This time of year is a time in which birds are very busy securing a place to have their young. Once they have secured that place, it becomes a dual effort of daddy bird and momma bird to keep and guard that place. In our text God is asking us to learn from the birds. If a bird wanders too far from its nest lots of things can happen. Another bird may take over. Their young may be devoured by a predator. Their young may attempt to leave the nest before it is time. Wandering too far from the nest may get momma bird or daddy bird in trouble. The further away from the nest they get, the more danger they may encounter. I once watched a hawk chase a sparrow back to its nest. If that sparrow would have been a couple more feet away, he would have never made it back! Let me give a simple encouraging word to every mom and dad. Do not wander too far from your place! Your # 1 place is your home, your family. Mom and dad too much is at stake! Stay close to the place called home!!
