"HE THAT WATERETH SHALL BE WATERED ALSO HIMSELF"
"The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself." (Proverbs 11:25)
If you've studied the Scriptures and applied them to your life, you'll find that the Lord will always make good on every promise He gives. Now this one here in Proverbs 11:25 is one that you can't help but fall in love with.
Make no mistake about it, when we consider others and their many needs that abound, the Lord will carefully consider us when our own needs arise. When we lend a hand to the poor, we'll find that the Lord's hand will quickly come into play toward us; for the Lord will be a debtor to no man who helps those that are financially stricken. When we provide spiritual nourishment to the many we find at every turn, the Lord in turn will feed us from His Word.
Some people care only for themselves and the latest gadgets they can accumulate; but that kind of self-indulging lifestyle grows old real fast. Others are interested in their own feelings; but after a while, they'll discover that they feel nothing at all. When any person lives only for the things of this world; they live in a very small world indeed.
Friends, our real cares and concerns should extend to the multitudes who are thirsting for Living Water from that vast Garden of God's Grace where you and I live by faith. Let us then take the message of the washing of the Water of His Word and offer it those whose souls are soiled with sin. By so doing, we'll find that He will make a well of refreshing water in our own soul. Yes, His promise is sure, "... He that watereth shall be watered also himself."
