2 Peter 3:16 - “...which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” The Bible was never given for your approval—it was given for your obedience. Yet many will read it and then try to explain away what confronts them, wrest it to fit their lifestyle, or ignore the very truth that exposes their sin. That’s not ignorance—that’s rebellion dressed up as interpretation. When a man starts adjusting Scripture instead of submitting to it, he is not correcting the Bible… he is condemning himself. God’s Word is right whether we like it or not. The safest place a man can be is under it, not over it. Stop trying to make the Bible agree with you—let it correct you. The same Word that convicts you is the same Word that can cleanse you, if you’ll humble yourself and receive it as it is—truth.
