Doctors were ready to harvest TJ Hoover's organs, dismissing his family's pleas that his eyes were opening during his honor walk.
In October 2021, after a drug overdose, TJ was declared brain dead at Baptist Health hospital in Richmond, Kentucky. His family, devastated, agreed to remove life support, believing he could save lives as a registered organ donor.
But as staff lined the corridors in silence, his sister Donna noticed his eyes moving, tracking those around him. Staff brushed it off as reflexes. In the operating room, TJ began thrashing and crying, tears streaming down his face.
Two surgeons refused to proceed, but the organ procurement organization pushed to find another doctor.
The procedure was halted when TJ woke up. Sent home with a grim prognosis.
TJ defied the odds and is still alive, though he struggles with PTSD and other challenges.
A 2025 federal investigation condemned the organ procurement organization's disregard for life, calling the findings horrifying.

This is another case of these monsters in the medical profession murdering folks to steal their organs. It has been going on for many decades. When I learned this was going on in the late seventies I removed my organ donor status from my ID.
