“Those who know their Bible should not be surprised…”—and that’s the plain truth. The Bible has already told us what happens when truth is neglected: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine…” (2 Timothy 4:3). What we are seeing today is not just the failure of society—it is first the failure of the church. When pulpits grow silent on sin, holiness, and judgment, the world doesn’t stay neutral—it fills the silence with ungodliness. When the church stops preaching righteousness, the world will gladly preach rebellion. This is not surprising—it is predictable. God never intended His people to blend in; He called them to stand out. “Ye are the light of the world… Ye are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13–14). But when the salt loses its savour and the light is hidden, darkness takes over—that is exactly what we are witnessing. The condition of the world is not the root problem; it is the result. A weak church produces a wicked culture. So instead of being shocked, the believer ought to be stirred—to return to the Word, to stand for truth, and to live godly in a generation that has abandoned it. Scripture already warned us—so now is the time to obey it.
