📖 Proverbs 11:2 “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.”
Pride is not just an attitude—it is a barrier.
When any person refuses correction, instruction, or rebuke, they have already chosen stagnation over growth.
God reaches out, just as the image shows, but pride causes a person to resist the very hand that could lift them.
The Bible is plain: wisdom is not given to the proud, but to the lowly. An unteachable spirit shuts the door on truth, and when truth is shut out, deception walks in.
Many complain about their condition in life, yet refuse the correction that would change it. That is not ignorance—that is pride.
Therefore, a person cannot grow under God while standing above His Word in his own mind.
Growth requires humility—receiving correction, bowing to truth, and admitting when you are wrong.
Pride says, “I know enough.”
God says, “Learn.”
Pride says, “I’m fine.”
God says, “Repent.”
If a man will not humble himself, God will resist him (James 4:6).
The choice is simple: stay proud and remain unchanged, or humble yourself and be taught.
One leads to shame—the other to wisdom.
